American retailers are ditching the Confederate flag, one-by-one.
Major retailers eBay and Amazon announced Tuesday that they would no longer offer items for sale online that promote the Confederate flag, adding their names to a growing list of companies that are disassociating themselves from the battle emblem in the wake of last week’s deadly shooting at a historic black church in Charleston, South Carolina.

On Wednesday, the Detroit Tigers were trailing the Indians 4-1 in the bottom of the third inning when pitcher Buck Farmer hit umpire Quinn Wolcott with a pitch. It was part of an erratic performance for the 26-year-old righty, who struck out seven but surrendered three walks and four earned runs in four innings of work.
